Gabby and Nathan|Morgantown, West Virginia|West Virginia Wedding Photographer

Gabby and Nathan make me happy in soooooo many ways.  Gabby is full of life, her laugh is contagious, and she keeps Nathan on his toes.  Nathan is very easy going, always up for Gabby's adventures, and would do absolutely everything to see her happy.  Gabby and Nathan wanted a country summer session before their Chantieclaire Farm wedding so I brought them to the perfect place--a farm.  The Benson Farm is a GORGEOUS place just down the road from us and it's been on my list of places to shoot!  Please enjoy some favorites from the #foreverfoster engagement session!

Tiera and Drew | Morgantown, WV | West Virginia Wedding Photographer

When Tiera and I talked on the phone a couple months ago, I knew this was a match made in heaven. I no joke got chills when Tiera was telling me the story of how her and Drew met. It turns out that Tiera's mom and Drew's mom are practically best friends and there is a picture of Tiera's mom holding Drew the day he was born!   How awesome is that?   I also come to find out that Tiera is also a fellow creative and worked at Disney!  She just started another year working towards her Master's in Art at WVU---You can find her website HERE and HERE.  When we talked about engagement session location, we all agreed to meet in Bruceton.  They pulled up in Drew's truck with Tiera in the middle after getting somewhat lost along the way (darn GPS).  Their session was seriously magical--the fields, the light, the LOVE! Ahhhhh!  Can it get any better? They both are so down to Earth, easy to work with, and absolutely natural in front of the camera. Drew's tenderness towards Tiera is too sweet for words and her animated cuteness keeps him smiling!  Enjoy!

This post popped up on my newsfeed yesterday :) Ohhhh my the feels on this one

The white outfits and green grass <3 :)  Great color choice!

I love shooting with a 70-200 mm 2.8 because of the zoom capabilities and bokeh, but I decided to bust out my 85 mm 1.8 and give it some attention.  The result is emoji heart eyes, like 100 of them :)

Good Neighbor Days Royal Court 2016

Since moving to Bruceton last May, I had my first go-round attending the Good Neighbor Days celebration with The White's.  This annual event is held every year typically July 14-16 in downtown Bruceton and sponsored by the Bruceton-Brandonville Fire Department. Check out HERE to see more info of the weekend lineup.  Ok, so in addition to food, the two other important reasons I wanted to hang out at GND: 1.  My inlaws told me that the GND parade is the ONLY parade in the world that you can see twice (this holds very true)  2.  I needed to see the Tupperware lady so I could buy a one gallon pitcher for the perfect iced tea because I screwed mine up A LOT (I had a terrible ratio of sugar/tea/water) :P  I would have loved to get some pictures of the girls and their escorts (and in pretty dresses), but I'm out of town!  On the contrary, I had the pleasure of photographing the four lovely ladies of the GND Royal Court before their coronation to kick off the weekend. Scroll down to check out these wonderful young ladies!

Queen Caitlyn is a Freshman at Preston High where she's active in cheerleading and music.  Spending time with friends and family is high on her list of favorite things she enjoys.  After she graduates, Caitlyn plans on going to school and studying to become a physical therapist.  Caitlyn is beautifully confident and she carries herself with such poise.

Maid of Honor Kendall will be starting her Senior year at Trinity High School this fall.  She's involved in soccer, softball, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.  Next year, she plans on attending college and majoring in sports management. Kendall's natural beauty and charming grace adds to her overall loveliness.

Princess Sahara is an 8th grader at Bruceton School and involved in cheering, softball, and basketball.  She's also a member of 4H and plans on opening a farm/ranch to help individuals with disabilities in the future.  Sahara has a delightful disposition and is super sweet!

Princess Brianna is a Freshman at Preston High and loves singing, softball, basketball, and football.  She plans on studying pediatric medicine after high school because she great with children and loves working with them.  Brianna's care-free energy and silly nature is a breath of fresh air for those who have the pleasure of meeting her!

Aaaaaaaaaand then we took this session in the water!  LOVE the background!  I totally envisioned myself dropping my baby in the water soooo made sure that camera strap was  TIGHTLY  (and I mean tightly) secured around my neck :)

Don't take life too seriously--it's perfectly OK to get a lil goofy every once in a while!

A few more portraits is a MUST when shooting in water!

Princess and Princess (anyone else want to say "Princess of Genovia" with a British accent?  Come one, you just said it like the movie :)

Queen and MOH

Last spot for the GND session with a quick outfit change.

Oh and yes, we grabbed the helmets :P  This was my idea.

Thanks to all the girls for a great session!  I really enjoyed photographing a special time in their lives as royal members of Good Neighbor Days 2016!
